Water Park launches RFID technology that takes photos for you and posts to your Facebook

Have you ever been having fun around a hotel, especially if it has a waterpark, but you either didn’t have a camera with you to capture these family memories or you didn’t want to take it where it could get wet?

Use Your Wristband to Take Photos at Great Wolf Lodge, North America’s largest family of indoor waterpark resorts. Using RFID technology embedded into the waterpark wristbands that guests receive, the resort has five “Paw Posts” located throughout the resort where guests can scan their wristband and a digital camera will take their photo at that spot. The photos taken are automatically posted to the guest’s Facebook page throughout their visit.

Developed by Fish Technology, Great Wolf Connect also uses the RFID technology imbedded in the waterpark’s wristbands to serve as guest’s room keys, and allows the guest to make cashless purchases throughout the resort. Parents may provide wristbands to kids for food, beverages, and arcade games. Each wristband will act as a charge card, and guests may add funds to their wristbands at Smart Kiosks or POS stations.
